"The Project Group" 

From the 1990 gernal meeting of the St. James' Women of ELCA

"Clara Baskin reported the PROJECT GROUP formed 18 years ago as a group of women who wanted to see their handiwork help those in need. Their first project being making cancer abanges. When Metro Lutheran Ministries (MLM) bwas organized, they began making quilts for the Christmas store. "

The project Group needs extra hands to support their mission. No experience required, and lively conversation is encouraged!

The Project Group meets weekly on Wednesdays at the church. In 2022, the group made and donated the following:
MLM: (64) quilts, (12) Lap Robes, (155) caps & scarves, (24) dish clothes, (12) pot holders, (14) tea towels, (1) apron, (6) pillows
Lutheran World Relief (11) quilts
MLM Christmas Store: (51) cookie cans

Since the inception in 1972 until now the project group has undertaken numerous projects. Today they celebrate over 50 years of faithful ministry!!!
