| At St. James, the GEM (Gifts Endowment and Memorials) Committee looks forward and
outward to enrich our mission.
The Runzer Fund (named for Sam Runzer, born in 1891
who came to St James from Canada. Sam was a millwright whose mother had
started a church in their log cabin home) gives a scholarship to any student
of St. James who attends a Lutheran college, university, or seminary.
Also, the GEM Committee has taken up the
wonderful task of making a financial gift to each child baptized at St.
James. These funds, entrusted to the Mission Investment Fund, will be a
financial aid to that child, when they have grown and are ready to continue
their education!
