| Church in the World is a Ministry of Human Dignity. We help St. James stay focused on her ministry to those outside our walls.
We provide week-end food for more than 30 youngsters in area schools each week.
We work with "Re-Start" downtown to help feed homeless citizens of Kansas
City.
We provide a meal each month to the men of one of our local homeless
shelters.
We provide personal items for local women's shelters.
We work with Metropolitan Lutheran Ministry

We teach classes in Adult Education during the year to help members know what
they can do to help people around the block and around the world.
We hear Christ's call in our lives
- to serve others less fortunate than ourselves
- to speak for those whose voices are not otherwise heard
- to live our lives with less complexity
- to enrich the earth, rather than plunder it
